IKEA Indonesia Expands Global Market Access for Indonesian Products

IKEA Indonesia Expands Global Market Access for Indonesian Products

As part of its vision to create a better everyday life for many people, IKEA Indonesia continues to empower local producers by opening up access to the global market. For more than a decade, IKEA's partnership with Indonesian suppliers has supported the growth of the national industry, created jobs, and improved manufacturing capabilities through training in quality, production processes, and sustainable packaging.
By 2025, IKEA will have collaborated with 17 local suppliers producing a variety of Made in Indonesia products, marketed to more than 60 countries. Some flagship products such as the BUKSBO basket, DJUNGELSKOG doll, and NYKIL sofa bed have become international customer favourites. This was conveyed by Charlie Landale, Managing Director of IKEA Indonesia, at the IKEA Made in Indonesia event on 4 November 2025.
The Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Trade, and the Swedish Ambassador to Indonesia expressed their appreciation for IKEA's contribution to enhancing export competitiveness and promoting sustainable production practices. Beyond the industrial sector, IKEA also supports over 1,000 SMEs through the Teras Indonesia programme.
Through this initiative, IKEA strengthens Indonesia's position as a vital part of the global supply chain and demonstrates the quality of local products on the world stage.
